Content Policy

Content Policy

At GuruWalk we want the tours published to maintain quality and content that provides value to walkers. We also want the coexistence of different local providers on the platform to be favourable for all, and to this end, the following content standards must be met:

1.- No personal content (telephone numbers, email addresses, social networks, websites, etc.) may appear in the description of the Guru or on the tour description.

2.- The photographs of the tours may not contain text (telephone numbers, e-mails, web addresses, social networks, etc.).

3.- It is not possible to indicate a fixed price in the tour description, guru description or automatic messages. GuruWalk is an exclusive Free Tours platform so the tours offered must comply with free payment.

4.- The same Guru cannot have two identical products published (route, theme, timetable or title). In the case of wanting to publish the same tour in different languages, this must be done under the same product by adding a new language and schedule.

5.- To indicate that the tour is FREE is to devalue the Free Tour model that we are working so hard to promote as a form of access to culture available to everyone. Therefore, it is not possible to indicate at any time that the tour is FREE.

6.- It is not allowed to copy the content of the tour from another tour on the platform.

7- It is not allowed to use the same title of another tour already published on the platform. You may use synonyms or highlight other aspects of the tour to create a different title.

8.- The section "how to find the guide" should be as detailed and descriptive as possible. The meeting point is the most delicate part of a Free Tour as it is what allows the walker to finally enjoy the experience.

GuruWalk always gives advice and recommendations of the titles, descriptions, photos etc. that work best according to our experience and the data that is reviewed and it is the Gurus who ultimately make the decision to apply the advice or not but, on occasions where bad experiences are being generated with both other local providers and walkers, the Gurus will be forced to modify the content.

Failure to comply with the instructions given by the Guruwalk team members will result in the closure of the tour.

Failure to comply with any of the following points and the use of malpractices that alter the content and therefore the traveller's experience will result in the closure of the tour.
