How to set a limit time to accept the first booking of an event?

Info

By default, travelers can book until the very last second before the tour starts. This can cause problems if you don’t see the booking in time and don’t show up at the meeting point.

To avoid this, you can set a deadline for receiving the first booking. You decide how many hours in advance—anywhere between 1 and 12 hours before the event starts.

The longer the deadline, the lower the risk of missing a booking. But if you set too many hours, you might lose the chance to get last-minute bookings.

How to set this deadline

  1. Go to the "My Tours" section.

  2. Click "Edit tour" on the tour you want to modify.

  3. In the editing panel, look for the "Availability" section.

  4. Enable "Block events without previous bookings" and choose how many hours in advance events without bookings will be blocked.

  5. Click "Save" to apply the changes.

What happens if there are no bookings within the deadline?

If no one has booked by the time the deadline is reached, the event will be automatically blocked and can no longer be booked.

WarningImportant: If you’ve already had at least one booking (even if it was later canceled), the event will remain open until the last minute. In that case, if you don’t want more bookings, you’ll need to block it manually.

Example

You have a tour tomorrow at 10:00 and set a 2-hour deadline.
If no booking comes in by 8:00, the event will be blocked automatically.
