It’s very important to follow this rule and not try to make multiple bookings for the same group, as the system will detect them. Otherwise, you may find that the guide (guru) has to cancel your reservation at the meeting point for being a group, which would be extremely inconvenient for both parties.
Can I book for a large group?
Most free tours have a limit of six people per booking, and once you reach more than six it's considered a larga group.
Check the section “Who is this tour for?” in the description to see if the tour allows booking for larger groups.
This clause is activated directly by the guide (guru) to maintain the quality of the tour, due to their itinerary requirements or the city’s own regulations, and we at GuruWalk cannot intervene.
The main reasons why a guide (guru) does not accept large group bookings are because groups:
☹️ Pay less: usually make joint payments with smaller amounts per person
😶🌫️ No-shows or late arrivals: represents a significant loss for the guide (guru), since they block places that are not filled.
💣 Behavioural issues: pay less attention, talk among themselves and disturb the rest of the group.
If a guide (guru) accepts group bookings, you’ll see an informational screen when you make your reservation, indicating the conditions of the group booking. You’ll be asked for your card details, but under no circumstances will we charge you for the tour itself—payment is made directly to the guide (guru) at the meeting point before the tour starts. GuruWalk will only charge you a small penalty if you don’t attend the tour and fail to cancel more than 24 hours in advance.If you have any questions, or if you want to book a tour that does not accept large groups, we recommend that you contact the tour guide directly to see if they can make an exception and accept your group.
