How are tours sorted?

Platform tours are sorted by automatic algorithm which tries to offer the traveller the best tour available at any time in terms of their interests/needs.Our computer algorithm orders tours selecting the PRO profiles first which meet stricter quality requirements, and then the tours Hobby.

Once this differentiation has been made, the algorithm analyses various factors for each tour and language and scores them.:

  1. CTR.
  2. CONVERSION (quality of the announcement).
  3. AVERAGE BOOKING SIZE.
  4. TOUR ATTENDANCE.
  5. RECURRENCE OF THE TRAVELLER.
In order to make this point, they are taken into account the latest data to give opportunities for new gurus and to reward those who strive to improve their techniques.

Our goal is clear. If you have a good announcement, with a higher attendance rate than the other, travellers have great experience, and those travellers then re-book with GuruWalk the algorithm position your tour as high as possible.

We work actively in prevent, detect and correct any attempt at external manipulation to improve the positioning of a tour or artificially harm companies. The gurus involved in such actions would be penalized and even expelled from the platform without warning.

We are aware that there are factors beyond gurus control such as the behavior of walkers. However, the aim is get scores on these factors higher than average with actions such as: track reservations since arrival, do not cancel or modify tours, etc.

The algorithm would always reward the which offers better service to walkers before, during and after the tour, generating new growth opportunities within our platform for all gurus.

What can I do to improve my position?

  1. The quality of the tour photos and your guru profile.
  2. The tour item.
  3. Differentiation of the tour from those published on the platform.

Quality of experienceThe quality of experience, the average score of the tour is not taken into account as a direct order factor of tours. It takes account of the walker experience during the tour through the last 100 reviews(or not 100 the total amount of the tour to date)which stop after doing so. To improve your score you should:
  1. To offer a professional and entertaining experience, your aim is to have a good time.
  2. Offer a complete tour with valuable information.
  3. Involve travellers to the maximum during the tour.
