Like in any community, there are some basic rules that must be followed for everything to run smoothly:
- Respect
As in everything in life, respect and manners are ESSENTIAL. Any lack of respect, whether towards a member of the GuruWalk team or a traveler, will be considered a very serious offense and could result in expulsion from the platform and account closure.
- Setting a minimum price on your tour
It is not allowed to set a minimum price on your tour. You have chosen the free tour because it is currently the most in-demand tourist activity and offers a great opportunity. However, one of its peculiarities and part of its success is that it is free to pay. If you are unsure how to explain this to your travelers, you can see some examples (here)
- Cancellations
Providing quality experiences to our travelers is our top priority. Canceling an event/reservation, creates a bad experience for the traveler, and they are unlikely to book with us again. At GuruWalk, we understand that last-minute unforeseen circumstances can arise, and there are valid reasons for cancellations that do not affect the positioning of your tour or deduct credits. We are committed to ensuring the quality of the reviews our gurus receive. Likewise, our support team closely monitors fake reviews that may be posted, not only by travelers but also by other gurus, in an attempt to harm the profiles of their fellow guides on the platform. This is considered unfair competition and could result in expulsion from the platform. You can learn more about our review policy (here)
- Appropriation of other reservations
Inevitably, many tours start at the same meeting point, and a traveler might get confused and join a tour that they did not book. It is the responsibility of the guides to ensure this does not happen. If a guide deliberately takes reservations that do not belong to them, it will be considered a serious offense and could result in expulsion from the platform and account closure.
Data Protection Policy
In accordance with the Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data, the relationship with the traveler, and therefore the use of their personal data, ends once the tour is completed. Using the traveler's data provided by GuruWalk for personal purposes unrelated to the platform is considered a serious offense and could result in expulsion from the platform and account closure.
